Home for the Holidays: Twin Cities Christmas Mini Sessions 2024

The holiday hustle and bustle is just around the corner and that means its time to start writing your annual Christmas letters and Christmas cards with updated photos of the family. If you’re looking for a good deal on some Christmas Mini Sessions or Holiday Mini Sessions, you’re in the right place!

Chances are, if you’re here, it’s because you’re the type of person who will put a lot of effort into creating that holiday spirit. Maybe your family loves to decorate together, or maybe you count it as “me time” and love having full control over your home decorating. I don’t know about you, but my mom always wants to make an abundance of Christmas cookies and my sister always wants everyone to participate in making gingerbread houses. There are so many little things that come together to create the cheer we look forward to and we work very hard every year to do it.

Having holiday or Christmas family photos taken is how we document the years going by, and this year I’m going to try something new.

Christmas Photos this year are going to be at YOUR house!

Before you write it off, hear me out.

You’re going to put all that effort into the holidays, so why not let me and my magical studio lighting come to you? Does your crew decorate the tree together every year? Let’s do your mini session documenting you all putting on the final touches!

Or maybe you’re the kind that likes everything “just so” - let’s get proof of how amazing your space looked before the kids go to it!

Whatever your style is, it’s you and that’s what your family will love to look back on decades from now.

7 Great Ideas to inspire your Holiday Vibes

  1. Scandinavian: keep it simple and neutral and you can’t go wrong. When everything is minimalist and different shades of white, beige and tan it has a very calming effect. Love it.

  2. Vintage: Try to incorporate vintage winter gear like old skis or a vintage wooden sled. Come dressed in your grandma’s old knit sweater and you get extra points!

  3. Kitchen cookie baking: Love your kitchen vibes and morning light? Get some favorite holiday cookies recipes out and put on your aprons and we will document this fun tradition.

  4. Christmas Tree decorating: If you do this together every year, capturing it in photos will bring back the fondest memories for your kids when they grow up!

  5. Grandparents: Sometimes the holidays are one of the only times the kids get to spend a lot of time with their grandparents. Having photos together is such a sweet way to say, “we cherish out time together!”

  6. Candle lighting: If you have a tradition that revolves around lighting candles, having photos of your family gathered around them will ensure they remember and hopefully carry on those tradtions.

  7. Stocking hanging: Stockings are exciting! For us, it’s the final touch to the holiday decor. If you have a new stocking to hang this year, having photos taken is a fun way to document the newest member of the family!
